"Blowing" FusesFuses and Circuit Breakers are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] from short circuits and overload conditions which can cause extreme overheating which can result in damage to the conductors, and worse, the possibility of a FIRE which could destroy the vehicle. When a fuse, and replacement fuses continue to blow, especially if it happens repeatedly, is an indication of an UNSAFE CONDITION in that circuit, usually a short. Do not install a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install a larger fuse would invite damage to the wiring and an electrical system fire. The proper "fix" is for a qualified technician, who knows what he/she's doing, to troubleshoot the circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse].
a short is a cut in a wire and it will probally be behind the fuse panel if its for your radio.
Circuit overloaded, short in wiring, or the fuse you are using is not the OEM correct fuse.
pressure.
I was putting in a new stereo in my car and i was pushing with a screwdriver to pushing the wires throw i cause the lights interior not working and the clock keeps going back one oclock when turned off and car door bleeper and stereo not work at all You probably blew a fuse, check the fuses.
A radio fuse might keep blowing if the radio itself needs an inline fuse in a 1997 Crown Victoria. It is possible that the radio and interior lights are not grounded properly. Installing an inline fuse between the radio and the fuse box may solve the problem of the fuse blowing.
Had the same prob with mine it was the inter light at the back was touthing the metal work hope this helps
A fuse that keeps blowing is an indication of a malfunctioning ignition. The ignition may be the culprit or the wiring leading to the ignition may be the problem.
Did you install a new stereo? I had that problem with my 1995 xr-7 when I crossed some wires. It also caused my car to not shift out of park.
Motor hasseized.
2006 Ford Focus rear defroster keeps blowing the fuse immediately after replacement
Obviously, if any fuse keeps blowing there is a serious fault in that circuit.Take it somewhere they can fix it.
You need to find the cause of the short.
