You tend to think about the sacrum. But it is not the case. You have the tail bone or the coccyx. It is the most inferior bone in the vertebral column.

The section of the vertebral column that contains the most vertebrae is the thoracic section which has 12 vertebrae.

There are 33 vertebrae in total, starting from the top they are split into the cervical spine (7 vertebrae), the thoracic spine (12 vertebrae), the lumbar spine (5 vertebrae), the sacrum (5 vertebrae which are fused together) and the coccyx (4 vertebrae which are fused together).
