If you were hungry and you couldn't food or if you needed shelter and you didn't have a house, how would you feel? Pretty helpless. Well the Salvation Army makes sure that the feeling of helplessness never happens. They make blanket, serve food, provide shelter, and do anything they can to support those in need.
They do what God tells them to. God wants us to serve others as if the people on need were him, not another homeless person you find on the street!

∙ 14y agoThe salvation army aims to raise money to help people with drug and smoking problems, disabilities, and people who are criminals and have been to jail.
That barely even scratches the surface as to what The Salvation Army does.
Disaster services, education, family tracing, youth groups, helping kids and adults getting off the streets, housing, utility assistance, alcohol rehabilitation, getting help to the needy in both Thrift Shops and by just giving clothing to those who need it, community service, fighting human trafficking, and much more.
Most importantly spreading the Word of God!
Their mission statement probably says it best:
"The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on The Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.
Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination."

The objective is to help poor people who may otherwise not receive the help they need due to financial hardship. The objectives are detailed according to the program t addresses. For instance, drug addiction is addressed through 1//2 way house living, spiritual guidance, and coping skills to help over come addiction. The salvation army utilized Jesus Christ as the answer to our problems. The objective for hunger is to feed people and by that in itself, minister the power of Christ by giving and helping.
