What we know about the God of Abraham was written by Moses in the writings of Moses.

The God of Abraham was not an idol -- Moses wrote that God revealed himself to Abraham and commanded him to leave Ur and all his relatives to go to a land he had never seen, and that there God would make him into a great nation.

The God of Abraham had a personal name -- When Moses or Abraham referred to God by his name, they called him 'I AM.' It was a name which conveyed a special meaning. It indicates that God exists, and exists eternally and does not need anything or anyone outside of Himself.

The God of Abraham was the creator of the universe -- Moses described the creator God who created the world in six days in the book of Genesis.

The God of Abraham communicates with man -- In Genesis we read God communicated with mankind at various times eg with Abraham, with Noah, with Moses

ANOTHER ANSWER:

According to the Words God "inspired" through John: the Almighty Creator God of the Old Testament "who created all things" [like the universe, man, etc]... the One who recruited Moses and named Himself to him as the STATE-OF-BEING VERB -- "I AM" [that is, His name is: I EXIST; I WAS, I AM, I SHALL BE; or the best English translation of the LORD's name would be: ETERNAL!]: according to John, the Almighty Creator God of the Old Testament, of the universe, and of ABRAHAM was the WORD -- who would eventually be born as a flesh-and-blood man called JESUS CHRIST! [see John 1:3 -- see also verse 10]:

"He was in the world, and THE WORLD WAS MADE BY HIM, and the world KNEW HIM NOT." (John 1:10) [and the world STILL doesn't know... or believe... who He is ]

Jesus revealed His identity as Abraham's God to a group of His own people, a group of Jews who believed on Him" [see John 8:30-31].

"...'Verily, verily [truly, truly; most assuredly], I say unto you, 'BEFORE Abraham was, I AM!'" (John 8:58)

And even though those Jews... Jesus' own race... "believed on Him" -- THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE A WORD HE SAID! And they wanted Him DEAD!

"...'ye seek to KILL ME, because My Word hath no place in you." (verse 37)

In other words, as John reveals in verse 11 of his first chapter: "He came unto His own [the Jews, because Jesus also was a Jew], and HIS OWN RECEIVED HIM NOT."

So, according to The Bible... JESUS CHRIST is THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and Abel, and Enoch, and Noah, and Moses, and Isaiah, and Daniel, and Ezekiel, and Jeremiah, etc.

"...'all things must be fulfilled, which were written IN THE LAW OF MOSES, and in the PROPHETS, and in the PSALMS, CONCERNING ME." (Luke 24: 44)

"...THE GOD OF YOUR FATHERS [of whom Abraham was first] hath sent me unto you... And God [Jesus Christ, the WORD] said unto Moses, 'I AM THAT I AM': and He said, 'Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM [Jesus Christ, the WORD - see again John 1:3 & 8:58] hath sent me unto you.' And God said moreover unto Moses... 'The LORD God of your fathers, THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, and of ISAAC, and of JACOB...'" (Ex.3:13-15)

The Word of God is as clear as can be to anyone who "chooses to simply believe them"... just as Abraham believed what God told him [Rom.4:3]. Jesus Christ is the God of Abraham.
