The noble gas Xenon lasers can cut through materials that are so tough even diamond tipped blades will not cut.why?

the laser is using directed light focused on a single point to increases the heat so its not so much cutting as doing a controlled melt through the object, where as the diamond tip cutting tools are using the diamonds to come into direct contact with the surface over and over it. basically the only issue at hand is your comparing completely different tools its like asking why an 8 point wood saw wont cut through a 4 ft section of 1/4" sheet metal (if you have enough saws and time you could) compared to a blow torch on the same stuff.
