is the new battery properly charged?
Check the fuses.
When this problem came up with my dodge stratus my husband found that a fuse was blown. We changed our battery and it would not start for us either. but as soon as he fixed some wiring and changed the fuse it was fine.

The most likely cause of this problem is that the computer has been changed and the security system is shutting it down. If this is not the case then possibly the ignition switch has been changed and the key coding is not a correct match for the computer.
Sounds crazy, but my 96 would start and then stall and there was no codes, just had a tune-up but the PCV valve had not been changed. Located that and changed it and the car ran fine.
