I do believe most Americans call the flag OLE GLORY. But now days and i personally believe it is a shame that a large percentage(mostly new citizens from other countries) do not salute or stand for it.

U.S. history is just that... history. You learn about U.S. history in U.s. history. American gov. is more about learning about the American legal and political systems. There should be some history in that class but it's more politics-oriented.

In American history is it referred to as the War of 1812. This war was primarily between the British and the Americans.
