What characteristics does an organelle have?

it dont have one ever though of that not all cell can have everything they cannt be prefect so in my caes the organelle doesnt have a characteristice Refering to the answer above, yes I agree and LEARN TO SPELL, NO ONE CAN READ WHAT YOU WROTE!!!! Come on get a real answer for the viewers Organelles are sub-cellular structures found in most Eukaryotic cells. They carry out various functions inside a cell; transporting, synthesizing, modifying, etc. They are mostly double membrane bound. It is speculated that the first organelle-bound cell is the result of a large cell assimilating with a smaller cell. An example of a process involving various organelle is protein synthesis. The ribosomes on the RER (Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum) synthesize protein. The RER then send this off to the Golgi apparatus through a vesicle. The Golgi apparatus then modify this protein, like adding carbohydrate to create glycoprotein. The Golgi apparatus then send this out of the cell through exocytosis. Other common organelles include: Nucleus: Contain genetic material Mitochondria: Produce ATP through cell respiration Golgi apparatus: Modify and repackage proteins Free ribosomes: Synthesize protein for internal use RER: Synthesize protein for internal use or for excretion Centriole: Used in separating chromosomes during mitosis/meiosis etc.
