You may be after the six stage project management model (Elbeik & Thomas 1998)
stage 1: define
the project is fully discussed with all stakeholders and the key objectives are identified. The costs and timescales are also established at this stage, and possibly a feasibility study. The stage is complete when the project brief has been written and agreed.
stage 2: plan
an initial plan is developed. This is an ongoing activity because the plan is the basis for review and revison where necessary.
stage 3: team
establishment of the team of staff that will work on the project. the team members will also work on the plan stage which runs simultaneously.
stage 4: control
implementation takes place during this stage and all tasks and activities will be monitored against the plan to asses actual progress against planned progress
stage 5: communication
should take place continuously, both within the project team and stakeholders in the project. Communication will be formal and informal
stage 6: Review and Exit
To evaluate whether the intended outcomes of the project have been met. It is important as it enable information to be gathered about the processes and any lessons that can be learnt for the future. Also makes sure any outstanding tasks are completed, all activites associated with the project are discontinued and all resources have been accounted for, especially the project managers 12 inch rubber cock.

They are divisions made within a single project to facilitate ease of management. They are often divisions based on a specific model an organization uses, although there is no specific correct way to create sub-projects.
1.) If the weighted scoring model is on a spreadsheet, the weights can be changed on the fly to reflect any changes that may have occurred in your project. 2.) By supplying percentages to key aspects of importance in your model, you can accurately ascertain the value after computing the averages in said weighted model.
Actually PMI doesn't have a "model". PMI is an Institute that develop a book named PMBOK. This book gathers the best practices used for some of PMI members. You don't have to follow all the itens in PMBOK to have success, but you have to adapt it into you case, and then (maybe) make your model of project management.
Project performance is measured by comparing the project execution to the performance measurement baseline, which is an approved integrated plan for scope, schedule, and cost for the project, as explained here:• Cost baseline - This is the planned budget for the project over a time period, used as a basis against which to measure, monitor, and control the cost performance of the project. The cost performance is measured by comparing the actual cost to the planned cost over a time period.• Schedule baseline - This is a specific version of the project schedule developed from the schedule network analysis and the schedule model data. This is the approved version of the schedule with a start date and an end date, and it is used as a basis against which the project schedule performance is measured.• Scope baseline - This is the approved project scope that includes the approved project scope statement, the WBS based on the approved project scope statement, and the corresponding WBS dictionary.
what is project justification
Project Networkis a distributed model of work to be completed in a project.
How to make a model of an energy class science project
When we are talking about a big project we Use Water fall model. Water fall model has total of five stages.

A waterfall model would be a good approach for that type of project.
we use this model when user is not sure of project need.....when risk and cost evaluation is important for project .........and when project has complex requirement or new product line is introduce...
COnstructive COst MOdel (COCOMO) is an algorithmic Software Cost Estimation Model developed by Barry Boehm. The model uses a basic regression formula, with parameters that are derived from historical project data and current project characteristics.
