It probalary should be around 224 MPH.. or 386 km. _______________________________________________________ whoa, way too fast. It's an algebra problem. Three equations Vp x time = 400km Vf x time = 330km Vp=Vf+14 km/hr and three unknowns (the time, and speed of each type of train). I used substituion, targeting an equation with only time. Long story short it solved to 5 hours (which makes sense after I did all that work and figured out that the additional 70km would take a train that is 14km faster...five hours to cover). Knowing the freight train can go 330km in 5 hrs (eq #2), it's speed is 330/5 or 66km/hr.knowing passenger train can go 440km in five hours (eq 1), it's speed is 400/5 or 80km/hr. ...and those speeds are 14km/hr apart, so we know we're good.
900 billion years - if you travel near the speed of light. If you travel at any slower speed, it will take longer of course. But do some reading on time dilation - if the traveller travels at a speed very near the speed of light, from his point of view it will take much less time.900 billion years - if you travel near the speed of light. an average speed of 162 miles per hour and can go up to 186 miles per hour in commercial use use CTRL + F -___-
Reservation against cancelation.in this passenger can travel by sting and share the side berth.
Light travels at the speed of 186,000 miles per second. A light year is the distance light travels in one year. It takes 8 minutes for light to travel from the sun to the earth.
If you like original story of Gulliver's travel, you have to watch the movie as different story. Seeing it as a comedy movie, hmm... so-so.
66 & 80 kph respectively
Yes, light travels slower in water than in air.
No it actually travels slower.
Richard Fulton with "Fulton's Folly"
The stiffer meduim- travels quicker The denser the medium-travels slower
sound travels the fastest in solids and slower in liquids and even slower in gases and cannot travel in vacuum..so its most difficult for the sound to travel in gases
S-waves are stronger, but travel slower and can only travel through solids.
Passenger train speed + 50 mph Freight train speed = 34mph V(passenger) = V(freight) + 16mph Vp x Time = 250mi. Vf x Time = 170mi. therefore... a. [Vf + 16] x T = 250 b. Vf x T = 170 Subtract b. from a. 16T = 80 Time = 5 hours Vp = 250/5 = 50 mph Vf = 170/5 = 34 mph
As compared to what? Compared to air, or to a vacuum, light travels quite a bit slower in water. As compared to what? Light travels slower through denser media, so it travels faster through water than through a diamond.
light travels slower because solids are denser than other forms and he particles dont let light pass through them easily
