The switch for the rear window demister of my Rover 45 lights up but the window doesn't clear?

There is a break between the switch and the rear window. Check for voltage between the gate and the window as this is usually where the problem is. If that checks good (has voltage) then a lot of the time its the main bar on the grid has a break onit these can be fixed as dealer has replacement foil for the gris.
