There is a loud noise that comes from beneath he bonnet of my Fiat punto 2001 model that comes at total random and makes it when he engine is switched off. Any suggestions on what it could be?

I can't be sure but it sounds like the radiator fan, in many cars this can come on even when the engine is not running.
