Try the steps mentioned below:
1. Exit Outlook.
2. Click Start->Run (Windows key + R key) and type outlook /cleanreminders->click ok.
3. Check if it works.
If the above step does not resolve the issue check if the Outlook file is open twice.
1. Exit Outlook.
2. Click Start->Control Panel->Mail program->Data file and check if you have two pst file listed.
3. Click one of the pst file which is not set as default and click remove (Back up outlook.pst file first).
4. Close all the windows and open Outlook and check if it works.
