You would change the source data and refresh the pivot table.
I will elaborate below:I have a dataset on "Tab A" to which rows will be added monthly, this is my raw data. I will be referencing cells in "Tab A" to make calculations on a preset table with formulas on "Tab B", and to conduct data analysis utilizing two pivot tables on "Tab C", one that is referencing the data on "Tab A", and one that is referencing the table on "Tab B". Is there any way to make the pivot table in "Tab C" automatically reference the whole data set in "Tab A" as new rows are added in "Tab A"? It seems that the person that will be operating this would have to come into the pivot table and manually source the data from the now expanded dataset, and if possible I would like to avoid this. Thanks in advance for your help!
To make a data table you must make a chart with how ever many columns you are going to need and then fill out your information.
A pivot table in Excel is a summary table of the original spreadsheet. To create a pivot table, first open the original spreadsheet then remove any blank columns and rows. The columns also should have headings so as they will be carried over to the Field List. Next, format the cells properly for their data type. Highlight the data range of the spreadsheet. Click the Insert tab and select the PivotTable button from the Tables group. Select PivotTable from the list and double check the Table/Range value. Check the radio button for New Worksheet and click ok.
Yes! But it is more convenient to make your changes in Design view because if you make your changes in Datasheet view it does not make any changes in other objects. It is just in the table.
As long as you have your data in a data table and you know how to make a graph, yes.
It takes really long to make and to record the data.
Activate the field list
A data sheet view shows the data in the database. It allows you to enter and edit the data, but you cannot change the format of the database. Design view allows you to create or change the table, form or any other database object.

If you analyse lots of data, my guess is that Pivot Tables are one of your favorite tools. The Pivot Table value area with custom number format the Right click on a number in the values area; Select Value Field .... Make sure you check the "Preserve cell formatting on update"option in Pivot Table Options

you can visualize the graph better than the table. ---------------------------------------------------- A data can make A PATTERN much easier to recognize and understand.
