To mount a Williwams FP71 receiver sight on a Browning 7mm-08 BLR rifle where do you place the mounting holes?

Don't alter your BLR by drilling holes in it. Instead, find a receiver sight that utilizes the existing scope mount holes in the top of the receiver. Extra holes are unsightly and they destroy much of the rifle's resale value, especially to collectors. It is best not to make permanent alterations to a firearm such as yours. That's my answer.

Yes, I dont have a picture but yes they do. I myself am looking for a 7mm08 in browning but, Browning is not going to be making a blued/wood finish in an A bolt Hunter. In 2008 Browning will be coming out with the X-Bolt so you may have to wait until the 1st part of next year to get one, but you could get lucky and find one here and there. If you go to Browning.com you can see the pictures of 7mm08 in the X-Bolt. I will be getting one when it comes out. You may want to read up on the X-bolt sounds like it may be worth the wait.
