I have a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 its stock and i have hit 120mph with 2000rpm left till redline it auto tranny.
It's on top of the tranny with a few wires running into it.
The VSS vehicle speed sensor on top of the transmission is faulty.
The speed sensor on the 1999 Ford Escort is located on the transmission. It is on the top on the drivers side.
On top of the transmission.
it is on the top of the thermostat housing on the drivers side of the engine
Try the rear of the radiator approx. 1/3 from the top

On the top of the tranny,close to the firewall on the drivers side...It will have an electrical connector plugged into it...
speed sensor is located at top of rear differential
speed sensor is located on the top of the diff housing not on the transmission
Follow top radiator hose to the engine to locate the thermostat housing. The thermostat will be inside the housing.
It's on the radiator below the top hose. Look for something with wires going in to it
