I don't know what size they are, but a good place to find tools like that is Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, or Sears.
apex.
I don't believe that year of Taurus used Torx bits on the caliper. They were Allen screws or hex bolts
The different types of screwdriver bits that can be used with a double-ended screwdriver include Phillips, flathead, Torx, and hexagonal bits.
Try the Torx bits onto the studs till you find the one that fits securely. Seems simple enough to me.
Many auto repair shops like advance auto, autozone, pep boys... etc have torx bits either in the form of a screwdriver with the torx bit on the end or as a socket for your socket wrench. On the funnier side.... just pick it up! Here's your sign.
You remove the sunroof glass by doing it thru the inside...un-screw those torx bits...I forget what bit size it is...but its a torx. Right after you slide the cloth cover back, look up there and you'll see those screws. I think it's a T-26 torx...but it may not be.
For 5.0L V8 engine. 1. Disconnect battery. For safety, cover the + & - battery metal connectors with a rag so they don't short out. 2. Place a 1/2" drive ratchet into the belt tensioner and rotate counter-clockwise. Remove belt from alternator. 3. Disconnect wire attached to the back of the alternator it's held on with a nut (you may have to remove rubber boot first). 4. Disconnect power plug going into alternator, it's held on with a clip. 5. Remove the bracket nut (not sure what size) on the back of the alternator. Remove the (2) torx bits (not sure what size) in front of the alternator. Remove alternator. Note: If you don't have Torx bits, try to get Torx bits that attach to a ratchet; this will aid in removal & installation. 6. When installing new alternator, start with Torx bits first, then the bracket nut (don't fully tighten the Torx bits or the bracket nut until they are hand tight, then tighten as normal. Install the wire that connects to back of alternator, then the power plug. Reattach belt. Good Luck!!
if it is the ignition switch, there are to torx sercuirty bits located on the right side of the steering wheen under the trim, if you are talking about the cylinder, there is a button underneath the colum by the tilt, you have to turn the key to the run position and press the button and the lock should pop right out
Yes, there is a T51 Torx bit. Torx bits come in various sizes, designated by a "T" followed by a number, and T51 is one of the larger sizes used for specific applications, particularly in automotive and industrial settings. It is designed to fit screws with a star-shaped drive, allowing for better torque and reducing the likelihood of stripping the screw head.
There are several types of bits used for screws, including Phillips, flathead, hex, Torx, and square. Each type is designed to fit a specific screw head shape and provide the best grip for driving the screw into a surface.
its located under the fuse box,pop the hood and unscrew the four TORX bits(t-25)and the relay is located underneath the cover
you need to purchase a torx bit set from any auto parts store. to get a good complete "jeep" set though you will need to visit a jeep dealer , an online supplier like quadratec or 4wd. anyone who owns a jeep needs a good set of torx bits and or screwdrivers. I went to lowes and purchased a set of socketed torx for a wrench. Much easier and cheaper than purchasing from any dealer.
