Possible low on fluid and also need to reprogram transmission after fluid went down.
It could have reset itself .
You can tell if the transmission is bad on almost any car by looking for jerky acceleration when driving, especially when moving from low to higher speeds. If the car is jerky, or seems to be having trouble shifting, it is likely a problem with the transmission.
When was the last time you serviced the Transmission. Pull out the dipstick on the transmission while car is running with the transmission in park. and check the fulid level is it full of fluid?, if so smell the fluid does it stink or look dark? Then this may be all you need to do is take it to a Shop and let then service it for you.
is the car cold when you observe this? -> common problem, especially between 2nd and 3rd gear. Another thing i have observed is that if you accelerate with a lead foot or with a really light touch, they both produce a fairly smooth shifting. However, when you drive moderately, the shifting can be noticeable..and sometimes feel like being jerked.. running synthetic transmission like mobil 1 may helped a bit..
I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan SE, While I am driving things are alright, but when slowing down to a stop the transmission downshift late. What causes thisand is there anything I should be concerned about. Recently, I put some more transmission fluid in . could I have overfilled it?This should help:Complete automatic transmission failure is obvious because the car will not move at all when shifted into forward or reverse. Usually the symptoms of impending automatic transmission failure are not quite as dramatic, and can be inspected by a mechanic to determine if the transmission needs replacing or if there is any chance the problem can be repaired.Delayed ShiftingOne common symptom of automatic transmission problems is delayed shifting when the vehicle is cold, particularly for reverse or first gear. Loss of One GearSometimes one gear will go out entirely while the others still function. If fourth or reverse gear fails, for instance, the vehicle at least can be driven to a shop. Unusual Shifting SpeedsShifting may take place at unusual speeds, earlier or later than it should. The speed where shifting takes place also may keep changing. Noise and JerkingAny noise while shifting is a symptom of automatic transmission failure, and so is rough, jerky shifting. Odd MovementIf the vehicle tries to move while in park or neutral, it most likely has automatic transmission failure. Shift Lever IssuesIf the shift lever is difficult to move, this indicates transmission problems as well.
Because the transmission is in limp mode, and needs servicing ASAP or is broken and needs replacing.
First you should Check out your Transmission oil level that could cause your car too jerk into gear. The only other thing it might be if the transmission is going bad and you should have it checked by a transmission specialist

Yes jerky can spoil.
Jerky Cure is something you use to season and prepare meat for drying to make jerky.
Jerky can be made from any type of meat. I've eaten turkey jerky, deer jerky, pork jerky, beef jerky, buffalo jerky and a couple of others. Jerky is basically just dried meat. Many people make their own by laying the strips of meat on a cookie sheet, basting it with teriyaki and drying it at a low temp in the oven. It can also be dried in the sun if there is a way to keep critters off of it. Just look up jerky recipes in your favorite search engine.
