hmm surely next year he'd be 11, because if 2 days ago he was 9, then this year he'd be 10, then next year 11.... someone tell me I'm being thick?
EDIT: No, just looking at the question wrong. The answer is December 31st, but let's use actual years: 2 days ago, in December of 1995, he was 9, and NOW (2 days later), in January of 1996 he is 10 -- correct? The question is how old will he be NEXT year; THIS year, in December of 1996, he will still turn 11, but NEXT year, in December of 1997, he will be turning 12.
