Radon is an element.Elements alone do not show acidity or basicity.
Chemically most carbonates are insoluble (Do not dissolve in water). The exception are the carbonates of Group(I) Alkali metals e.g. Sodium. Similarly, most sulphates. However, Chlorides and nitrates are soluble.

oils are insoluble in water
Sulfides are insoluble unless combined with Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, and NH4. So, Na2S is soluble, and CuS is insoluble.
- All carbonates (except ammonium, sodium & potassium carbonates) are insoluble - Lead, barium & calcium sulphates are insoluble - Lead & silver chlorides are insoluble

Sulphates become less soluble as you go down the group. Group 1 sulphates are more soluble than group 2.

BeSO4 is moderatetly water soluable. It is a metal sulfate compound which is used in water treatment plants. The mhydrogen atom is replaced by a metal compound. Unlike BaSO4 which appears to be water soluable at first but is not.
