Lymphocyte is a type of white blood cell found in the vertebral immune system.
Lymphocytes can be divided into Large lymphocytes and small lymphocytes when viewed under the microscope. The Large lymphocytes include natural killer cells (NK cells)
There are mainly two types of Lymphocytes.
T Lymphocytes and B Lymphocytes. (these are small lymphocytes according to the microscopic view)

∙ 12y agoThere are three major types of lymphocytes: T (Thymus) cells, B (bone) cells and natural killer (NK) cells. T cells and B cells are the major cellular components of the adaptive immune response. T cells are involved in cell-mediated immunity whereas B cells are primarily responsible for humoral immunity (relating to antibodies). The function of T cells and B cells is to recognize specific "non-self" antigens, during a process known as antigen presentation. Natural killer (NK) cells are a part of innate immune system and play a major role in defending the host from both tumors and virally infected cells.

B cells derive from bone marrow, while T cells mature from the thyroid. B cells produce antibody effector B cells and T cells activate cytotoxic and helper T cells to attack a pathogen in the body.
