My grandmother used to tell me the urban legend of Little Girl Lost. She said it happened in Jackson,Mississippi in 1975.It went like this...A young girl named Belinda Marcus had supposedly gotten in a fight with her boyfriend Carl and ran off by herself.Legend has it Belinda never got home and her parents began to worry so they called Carl and he said she ran away toward home. When her parents began to ask around town if anyone had seen Belinda that night everyone said no except for an old woman who said she was standing on her front porch bring her plants in when she saw a young girl dressed exactly like Belinda had been dressed walking into the deep dark Mississippi woods with a tall man in an overcoat and a tall farmers hat. When people went to go and look in the woods only Belinda shoe was found. They never found Belinda but soon people all over Mississippi began reporting their young teenage daughters missing and witnesses say the last time they see these girls their walking Into the Woods with a man dressed in an overcoat and a tall farmers hat.My grandmother used to warn me never to go in the woods by myself that he might be out there waiting for a young teenage girl.Don't know if its true or not.BYE
