What is the value of a 1950 Franklin 50 cent coin?

As of 06/2008, about $7 to $7.50 for its silver content. These are popularly known simply as Franklin halves (note the spelling). ALL U.S. coins have the word Liberty on them so that doesn't really add to any information about a specific item.

Is there any value in a misprinted 50 cent piece. 1950 Benjamin Franklin and on the back the liberty bell is upside down?

If you take a closer look at ANY U.S. coin, you'll notice that the image on the back is upside-down in relation to the image on the front. This means your 1950 Franklin half does NOT have an error. That said, it's currently worth about $12 for the silver content.
