it was harmful because the Virginia lands were owned by the Native American and the more land that is takin away the more the madder the Native Americans will be. the Natives helped the settlers live and survive in the land. they helped them with growing crops, building houses, hunting and fishing, and making clothes.

I think using indentured servants was helpful because the people who could not afford passage to America were to come as indentured servants and then later they could be free.
