value depends on overal condition. Hopkins and Allen pistol to not comand much more nor are they wanted much by collectors. If the top of the barrel has the word 'manufactured' it is probably pre 1900. If it says 'firearm' then it is probably post 1900.

Hopkins & Allen Arms Co. Fifty Years of Gunmaking 1867 - 1917 by Joseph T. Vorisek is about the best book on H&A.

The hopkins and allen ranger model No.2 was made sometime between 1902-1914.these inexpensive revolvers are valued at between 70-150 dollars,depending on overall condition.

W. B. Hopkins was born in 1871.
Forehand and Wadsworth was established in 1871 and in 1890 the name was changed to Forehand Arms Company. In 1902 Forehand was taken over by Hopkins & Allen who continued to manufacture many of the same models, changing only the markings. Hopkins & Allen went out of business in 1916. It is not likely that the exact date of your firearm can be established- sorry.

John J. Allen was born in 1871.
Thomas M. Allen died in 1871.
Carl Ferdinand Allen died in 1871.
Beebe shotguns were made by one of two two manufacturers. Harrington & Richardson Arms Company made them from 1871 to about 1975. Hopkins & Allen made shotguns from 1868 to 1915.
