Animal experimentation is a moral issue because many people believe that harming and even killing animals for our own benefit is wrong. However, others believe that things like cosmetics and medicines should be tested on animals first before humans start to use them in case they are lethal.

As far as I know Islam does not mention anything regarding testing on animals.
Well sometimes we have to kill the animal to get the things we need to test but most of the time we don't kill them. It's not great when we have to kill the animal as we have wasted some of its life
Ryan Wilson was one of six men to suffer serious complications in a drug trial, which forced him to have some of his toes and fingers amputated. The drugs he was testing were tested first on animals, but in the aftermath he believes that the animal testing was not enough to proceed to testing on humans.
