This is not a simple project.
I haven't done it but I've been reading the Honda Motor Manual about it.
Oil pan is attached to the differential (and the differential is attached to one of the two drive shafts and the intermediate shaft), so after attaching an engine hoist to the engine hoist bracket, support the transmission, draining the engine and differential oil, you'll have to remove, sequentially;
1. The wheels
2 Both driveshafts(and all the steps required for axle job, ie. ball joint, damper forks)
3. Transmission mount(about 6 bolts involved, 40 and 47 ft -lbs)
4.1 33 mm(58 ft-lbs)Extension shaft/secondary gear sealing bolt (to get to the extension shaft)
4.2 Extension shaft(need a special tool)
5. Engine mount damper and left engine bracket
6. Intermediate shaft
7. Differential (and the Power Steering speed sensor attached to it)
8. Oil pan inner pipe
Hopefully I cover all the important steps
If you are not a mechanic like I'm(not), I strongly suggest the Honda very own manual(about 70$) and study what drives what. You'll see that two driveshafts that drive the wheels are driven by a differential carrier that's driven by a pinion gear(in the differential assembly) Only one of the driveshaft is driven directly by the differential carrier while the other is driven throgh an intermediate shaft which is driven by the differential carrier. The pinion gear is driven by a secondary gear in the transmission by means of an extension shaft. And the secondary gear is driven by the countershaft of the tranny itself.
So there are 3 shafts that attach to the differential. One is "to drive" the differential(the extension shaft) and the other two shafts, which drive the wheels, are "driven by" the differential ( one of the two driveshafts and the intermediate shaft). All these three shafts need to be detached from the differential.
If you are doing on the floor like me, the job will be harder, esp the 33 mm bolt that cover the access to the extension shaft. If your car is drivable, I'd first take it to a near by shop and let someone there loosen the 33mm bolt and the transmission mounting bolts(then lightly retighten them), but I would not drive it far after this( and not on highway).

The drain plug on a 1992 Acura Vigor is located on the oil pan, which is situated at the bottom of the engine. To access it, you will need to lift the vehicle and look for a bolt or plug at the lowest point of the oil pan. It's typically a hex or square shape, and you'll need the appropriate tool to remove it for oil changes. Always ensure to have a drain pan ready to catch the old oil.
Oil pans on Hyundai vehicles are on by several mounting bolts and nuts. Once remove the gasket for the oil pan will need replacement. Replace the gasket and reinstall the oil pan.
i had the same problem with oil leaking too, i tried all kind of stop leak. but only "lucas" oil stop leak worked, haven't leaked since. My 92 Vigor had the same issue. It was initially diagnosed as a leaking oil pan gasket. I brought it to Acura and was advised that the leak came from the oil filter adapter assembly seal and not the oil pan gasket. To access this part, the front differential assembly had to come off along with the return hoses.
A replacement part for a 2002 Ford Ranger oil pan gasket will cost a price close to $40. The part can be purchased from a auto parts store.
On my Pontiac Grand Prix, the total replacement cost of the oil pan was estimated at $700. The oil pan itself should cost less than $100 but the labor on most cars is quite involved and includes raising the engine and/ or lowering part of the frame of the car.
drain the oil from the vehicle, unbolt the oil pan, scrape old gasket from pan and crankcase. check the torque specifications for the oil pan bolts (shouldnt be very high). replace the gasket and oil pan to factory torque specs. put drain plug back in and fill with factory specs of oil.
Replacing the oil pan gasket is a fairly simple process. The labor allotment for replacement is 3/4 hour plus parts. Removing the oil pan requires a full oil change by necessity as well.
The oil pan gasket on a 1999 Honda Civic is found under the oil pan. Lower the down pipe and drain an oil within the engine. Lower the oil pan and remove the old gasket plus and silicone residue from the mating surface. Install the new gasket using silicone sealer to ensure leak proof replacement.
in the oil pan under the distributer at the rear, replacement would mean pulling your engine.
The oil drain plug on a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder is located under the engine. Maintenance includes replacement of the oil pan gasket.
Drain the oil from your oil pan. Remove the oil pan bolts. There are 24 oil pan bolts. The oil pan will come off.
every car I've ever worked on had a line of bolts around the outside of the pan on the bottom. they should be about 12mm sized.jack up the car, drain the oil, and remove the pan.make sure to buy a replacement gasket for the pan! cheers
