This is really contentious debate. Voltaire is an important thinker with opinions on secularism, freedom of people from spiritualism and tyrans. On the other hand, he has very euro-centric thoughts and a bit racist if we unfold his quotes on black people. Rousseau is an advanced thinker than Rousseau if we compare them freedom level. Because he didn't contented with Voltaire's liberal freedom and his thougts maybe pioneered socialism. But Rousseau has a big negative side, too. He is extremely sexist man and he thinked women aren't capable in art or science and they created for serving men. I didn't give final decision. Look at two men and you, give the decision.
