There are more than a dozen vacuum hoses in your Chevrolet S 10 pickup truck. The majority of the vacuum hoses are connected to the transmission and the air cleaner. The vacuum hoses are also connected to the fuel injection system.
passenger side of the waterpump. right by where your heater hoses connect onto the pump housing.

There are two hoses for the 2006 Silverado heater core. Loosen the clamps where the hoses go into the firewall. Twist the hoses gently to break them loose. Slide the hoses off. Follow the hoses to the other end, and repeat the process.
I think you go in behind the glove compatment and then remove the hoses from underneath the hood next the fare wall on the passenger side.

If you are using anitfreeze your system has a leak and it needs to be fixed. If you continue to let it go you can damage your engine. Take it to a shop and have them run a pressure test. Check all hoses including heater hoses & reservoir hose, and also watch for drips from the water pump while the engine is running. Could also be a bad intake manifold gasket.
remove upper fan shroud, unbolt fan from water pump, remove belt, remove hoses from water pump, remove water pump bolts, transfer heater hose fitting to new waterpump, clean up old gasket, install in reverse order.
