The medical definition of the Wards triangle is "an area of diminished density in the trabecular pattern of the neck of the femur evident by x-ray. If the hips have a healthy density and the femur neck score is exceptionally low (or strikingly different than the previous score) then the technician may have reported density of the Wards Triangle.
