Well, it was a torpedo that struck her.
The sister ship of the Titanic, Gigantic (also known as Britannic), sunk on November 26, 1916 in the Aegean Sea. It is still debated today whether she was hit by a torpedo or if she struck a land mine.
RMS Olympic (Retired in 1935 after 15 years at sea)HMHS Britannic (Sunk in 1916 by a sea mine)
The Titanic had two sister ships - the RMS Olympic which lasted 25 glorious years on the sea and the HMHS Britannic which was originally to be name the Gigantic and sunk after striking a mine.
Submarines do get sunk in the sea.
Right now it is under the sea because it sunk but before it sunk it was at Miam but in the cay it was at the island of Couacao
Well, No one knows for sure but ,on November 21st 1916. the H.M.S. Britannic was steaming near the cost of Greece, when ether a torpedo or mine hit the starboard side of the ship. since it was only 3 miles away for the coast, the captain thought he could beach her, but not knowing that the explosion was too great. so the captain orders the ship all a head full when she was sinking at a alarming rate. but when he noticed that she could not make it to shore he ordered that the ship to stop. but when the order was given, the electrical wiring that controlled the ship was already under the water, and caused the controls to short circuit. so when she sank, she was still going at full speed. then when the lifeboats were lowered, the propellers made a whirlpool effect that sucked and shredded 30 people and a lifeboat. those were the only casualties of the disaster. RMS Olympic was launched in 1910 and was part of the White Star Line fleet. The majority of her career was spent servicing the Liverpool-New York route, however in WWI she was used as a troopship. Olympic made her final voyage in November 1934 which was also the final transatlantic crossing made by a White Star Line vessel. In December 1935 she sailed from Liverpool for the shipbreakers yard where she was scrapped. But of course the one that the majority of people know is titanic. we all know how that ended.
Like its sister ship the RMS Titanic, the HMHS Britannic also sank at sea. During World War 1 the ship was used as a hospital ship and struck an underwater mine on November 21st 1916. The ship sank and thirty lives were lost.
The Titanic sunk in the Atlantic ocean.
trashed; sunk at sea
The RMS Olympic did not sink. It was the sistership of the famous ill-fated liner, the RMS Titanic. The Olympic went on to serve as a warship in WWI, then returned to being a lavish passenger liner until the 1930's, when the Olympic (nicknamed "Old Reliable") was sold, and scrapped. There is also a lesser-known sistership of the Titanicand Olympic, named the Britannic. It was supposed to be bigger and more luxurious than the Titanic, but, just before it set sail, WWI broke out, and the Britannic had to be used as a hospital ship, rather than a luxury passenger liner. So all of the Britannic's lavish interior was stripped and replaced with hospital equipment. The HMHS Britannic was sunk by either a torpedo or a sea mine (no one knows for sure) in the Mediterranean Sea.Also, just one more thing, something that's kind of cool to know, is that Captain Edward Smith captained both the Olympic and the Titanic (he planned to retire after the Titanic came back to England from New York, but, as we know, he died aboard the Titanic). Also, a stewardess named Violet Jessop worked aboard the Olympic when a ship named the Hawke rammed into the Olympic's side (neither of the ships sank). Jessop was also a stewardess aboard the Titanic when the Titanic sank, and she survived... only to become a nurse aboard the Britannic. She also survived that shipwreck.
Titanic sunk in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The USS Lexington was sunk at Coral Sea; they thought they sank the USS Yorktown too. But she was only damaged.
