no he did not discover Trinidad someone else did and in fact Christophor Columbus he had discovered North America or i think some country in north America hope that helped:D

Since Columbus always believed he had found a way to the Indies and never considered that he might have found an "undiscovered" continent, if he crew had told someone that he didn't discover America, he would have said they were telling the truth.
