Yes, Charles Darwin was right. His theory of Evolution by Natural Selection is the most important theory in the whole of Biology. This can come as a surprise to students entering University to study biology if they have been brought up in a soft school soother of 'Oh well, Creation or Evolution, like them or hate them, we don't really know' which might occur if the school is too scared to teach Evolution for fear of a sudden court case. It so happens that "Nothing makes sense in biology except in the light of Evolution" as Theodosius Dobzhansky uttered. We definitely know that evolution occurs, life is variable and thus there is variety for Natural Selection to mould. Life proceeds by Natural Selection. The biodiversity of life on the planet is all due to evolution, at any point in time, from the 10 000 species of flatworm to the 50 000 species of extinct trilobite to the possibly 30 million species of insect. There is absolutely no doubt in the minds of biologists (and physicists and chemists and geologists and cosmologists) worldwide that evolution occurs. There is much evidence. There is much debate too, but not about whether Evolution in general is true or not. Evolution is correct. What is debated is whether Sexual Selection is a subset of Natural Selection or something slightly different (I think it is a subset). Another debate is whether a species can survive unchanged from the Cambrian to the present, like lampshells (I doubt it: present lamp shells should at the very least be different species or genera from their Cambrian ancestors). And countless more debates rage excitingly through the scientific community. But everyone who knows biology from a bar of soap knows that Darwin was correct. More correctly, the evidence shows (regardless of the adherents to the theory) that Darwin was right.

What is Edwin Darwins theory on evolution?

Edwin Darwin did not propose a separate theory on evolution. The theory of evolution is commonly attributed to Charles Darwin, who put forth the concept of natural selection as the mechanism driving evolution. Edwin Darwin does not have a notable theory associated with evolution.

Darwin's theory of evolution by natural?

Evolution by natural selection.

Why do you believe Darwin to be correct?

I already had a good grasp of geology and paleontology when I carefully read Charles Darwin's The Evolution of Species. I studied his conclusions, how he arrived at them and what methodologies he used, and was interested in his collaboration with other scientists and with breeders. I have read extensively the reviews and publications by supporters and opponents of Darwin's Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection - including a number of Creationist authors.I have absolutely no doubt that Darwin was right in his understanding of the evolution of species.

Charles Darwin evolution?

Charles Darwin is known for his studies in life sciences concerning evolution. Evolution theories from Charles Darwin have been appreciated because he is one of the first to explain the observations for educational purposes. Darwin is noted as one of the most valued scientist to have lived.

Did Darwin have knowledge of DNA when he proposed his theory of evolution?

No, Darwin did not have knowledge of DNA when he proposed his theory of evolution. DNA was not discovered until after Darwin's time, in the 20th century. Darwin's theory of evolution was based on observations of natural selection and the variation and adaptation of species over time.
