He was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, but it wasn't announced until November 23, 1991. The next day, November 24 1991, Freddie passed away. The official cause of death was bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS.

No!) in his life, he had a long-time girlfriend named Mary Austin, whom he left his house to- in his will- when he passed away. i found this out at Wikipedia; all you have to do is got there, type in his name, and read where it says Death.

He had female and male lovers, that means he would be a bisexual. Toward the end of his life he did sway more on the male lover side, but he never stopped wanting women as well.
