Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara), was the iconic frontman and songwriter of the British rock band Queen, renowned for his vocal talent, flamboyant performances and charisma, and is often considered as one of the greatest singers of all time. During his life, he wrote many international hits, with "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We are the Champions" being the most famous. On 24 November 1991, Freddie Mercury died from broncho-pneumonia induced by HIV (AIDS), only one day after his manager publicly announced that he had the disease.
