Not officially. But in the late '60s and possibly the early '70s, he regularly addressed Klan members at meetings. Wallace himself was robed and disguised. He wore lifts in shoes to make him seem taller, and an apparatus at his throat to distort his voice.

Martin Luther King Jr. was absolutely a card carrying member of the Republican party. Remember at the time Democrats had members like Byrd (a Card carrying member of the KKK) and George Wallace. Few self respecting members of any group desiring equality would associate with them.
The first KKK was strongest in Tennessee. The second Klan, the KKK of the 1920s, was strongest in Indiana, where even the governor was reputed to have been a member of the secret organization and was elected with strong Klan support.
