Since they just made a very successful television show based on his behavior, I think this is an important question. If he were "crazy" that would mean that his reality checking capacities were missing, however nothing he did was out of the ordinary for his "reality." People allowed him to do the horrible things he did and we still do not denounce them, hence a television show that celebrates his "sexiness." How can we know if he was crazy when society at the time allowed him to do what he did, and still in some way thinks it was fascinating, interesting and not plain appalling?
