No. John F. Kennedy was not a Mason (or Freemason). No one in his immediate family was, either. Typically, American Roman Catholics did not join the Masonic fraternity, although the Masonic fraternity would have accepted them. Freemasonry is much stronger among Catholics in countries where it is openly oppressed by the Church hierarchy. Traditionally, the Roman Catholic Church has always had a problem with a fraternity that encourages free public education, freedom of religion, etc. However, many famous Roman Catholics have been Freemasons.

A masonic (Templar) phrase is "All for one and one for all" which is very similar to the etching on the bell on his yacht which states "Where we go one we go all".  Is it possible he was an underground/hidden Mason?

no he wasn't, but the Freemasons were not involved in his assassination, the gunman was indeed a lone worker and was not part of any Masonic lodge. Many believe that there was more than one person working in the assassination, mostly because of false information, many believe that the second bullet was shot from a different rifle than the first because of it's puncture location on the governor in front of JFK, but this is because they believe that the governor was.sitting directly in front of the president, but in reality he was sitting three inches lower and to the left on a jumpseat.

President Johnson was initiated into Freemasonry before he became President but he was never in a position to take his second and third degrees. In the eyes of his Grand Lodge, a man is not a Mason until he takes his third degree.
