How did Judas interfere with Jesus' mission?

Judas did not interfere with the ministry of Jesus at all. In fact Judas helped move it into its conclusion. Jesus came to earth form heaven to died for mankind's sin. All men are born sinners and God cannot abide sin so He sent His only begotten Son to earth to die in the place of man and remove sin from anyone who will accept Him as their Savior. Jesus had to die on the cross at Calvary and Judas was used to turn Jesus into the people who wanted to kill Him. If Jesus had not died we would have no salvation.

Was Judas good or bad?

Judas was not necessarily a bad man before his betrayal, but a weak one. The devil influenced him into asking the Romans and the Elders to arrest Jesus so he could get compensation. Jesus was later crucified, and Judas committed suicide. Judas, the Catholic Church believes, is now in hell, because he committed a mortal sin(a sin that must be asked forgiveness for when you die and throughout your life, otherwise you go to hell) and didn't confess, and he had just basically murdered God, so he is a bad person.

Was Judas Iscariot a family relation to Jesus?

No. This is most unlikely. There is absolutely no evidence, Biblical or historical, to suggest that Judas Iscariot was even remotely related to Jesus. Jesus came from Galilee, a region in the north of the country; Judas came from Iscaria (hence his name) in the south. In those times travel was far less common than it is today; people tended to live, have families, and die in the same region, and hence there would have been little if any contact between Judas and Jesus until he became a disciple.

Did Jesus condemn Judas for committing Suicide?

Matthew 27:5 says that Judas threw down the silver in the Temple and went and hanged himself. Acts 1:18 says that Judas bought a field with the reward of iniquity, and fell headlong, bursting asunder and all his bowels gushed out. The author knew nothing of Matthew's suicide account and chose to have Judas die, horribly, of misadventure. Neither account says whether Jesus condemned Judas for what he did.

What is the summary of Jesus Christ superstar?

Hi, there!! JCS is about the last week of Jesus Christ's life, starting as the Apostles arrive in Jerusalem in an RV (beware: there are a lot of anachronisms here...!) and ending with the crucifixion. Judas Iscariot, the favorite apostle of Jesus, questions whether Jesus has lost sight of their mission: the start of a new religion. He is worried because both the public and the other disciples fail to see the inconsistencies in Jesus's message, and they never even bothered to question whether or not Jesus is truly the son of God. Much like Judas, the Jewish sect known as the Pharisees express fear for Jesus' growing popularity and come to the conclusion that the only solution is to kill him for the sake of the nation. The last straw for Judas occurs when he sees Jesus accept material possessions that could have been for the poor. Although regretful and conflicted, Judas runs to Caiaphas, leader of the Pharisees, providing excuses for his betrayal and telling him that he can find Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, and turn him in for execution. As the Apostles gather for the Last Supper, Jesus realizes that Judas has betrayed him, leading to a bitter confrontation between the two men. Judas accuses Jesus of making "out ideals die around us" and an enraged Jesus orders Judas to go, forever. Now alone, Jesus goes to the garden of Gethsemane, and angrily asks God to "show me there's a reason for you wanting me to die!" Yet eventually, Jesus is resigned to his fate and welcomes his death for God with open arms. Judas arrives and betrays Jesus with the infamous kiss on the cheek. The Apostles sans Judas question if they could start again. Jesus is carted back and fourth between the Roman, Pontius Pilate and King Herod, eventually brought back to Pilate and sentenced to 39 lashes. Meanwhile, Judas is horrified at the realization that his betrayal of Jesus was his life's purpose and was indeed part of a divine plan. No longer trying to justify his actions, a truly heartbroken Judas runs alone in the desert, telling God that he has "murdered me!" and hangs himself from a tree. As Jesus starts to fade, the Spirit of Judas ascends from heaven, clad in a white disco suit and accompanied by "soul girl" Angels. He questions whether or not Jesus was the chosen one, why he arrived on earth in the manner and at the time that he did, and what kind of man he really is. Jesus is crucified, and the Apostles slowly and sadly get back on RV they arrived to Jerusalem in. In the last few seconds, we see what is presumably the spirit of Judas getting back on the bus, looking sadly out as the sun sets. I hope this is helpful!! JCS is the most moving musical I've ever seen, and the music itself is fantastic. Enjoy!! :)

Why Jesus had to be betrayed by Judas especially when he was so popular?

That was all part of God's plan. Jesus came as the lamb of God = a sacrifice for sin. John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "There is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! It was God's plan for Jesus to die and God's plan for Judas to betray Him. We don't know for sure but it seems that Judas may have repented of his sin, in that case God would forgive him. Mat 27:3 When Judas, the traitor, learned that Jesus had been condemned, he repented and took back the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. Mat 27:4 "I have sinned by betraying an innocent man to death!" he said. "What do we care about that?" they answered. "That is your business!" Mat 27:5 Judas threw the coins down in the Temple and left; then he went off and hanged himself.
