A large number of Christian historians believe Emperor Nero was the mentioned Anti-Christ of The Bible and that parts of Revelations were a history book.

Aside from the 666, the blow to the head (Nero's suicide), the timeline of his rule.

In the book Ascension of Isaiah, Nero is first identified as the Anti-Christ. It says "the slayer of his mother (he killed his mother Agrippina), who himself this king, will persecute the plant which the Twelve Apostles of the Beloved have planted. Of the Twelve one will be delivered into his hands."

..."a lawless king will come and there will come with him all the powers of this world, and they will hearken unto him in all that he desires." (The Roman Empire which basically ruled the known world at the time)

- The beast in the bottomless pit arguement.

In 310, Lactantius wrote that Nero "suddenly disappeared, and even the burial-place of that noxious wild beast was nowhere to be seen. This has led some persons of extravagant imagination to suppose that, having been conveyed to a distant region, he is still reserved alive; and to him they apply the Sibylline verses."

- "this king, will persecute the plant which the Twelve Apostles of the Beloved have planted. Of the Twelve one will be delivered into his hands."

The Bishop Eusebius was the first to write that Paul was beheaded in Rome during the reign of Nero.

the timeline fits as well. John wrote in Revelations that th beast who once ruled will rule again. John wrote Revelations in either 68 AD or 96 AD. Either way Nero ruled before.

No. Nero was the emperor of Rome during the time but he began to feel that Romans didn't see he was a musician and poet so he often visited Greece over Rome.

He killed his own mother when she told him he must stop fooling around and take care of the government. He burnt down the city of Rome and had no other person to blame but Christians because they were outcasted then.

Paul - … that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures [1 Corinthians 15:3]

Jesus - Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent [John 17:3]

Paul - God was manifest in the flesh… [1 Timothy 3:16]

Jesus - to sit on my right or on my left is not mine to give [Matthew 20:23].

Paul - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, [2 Corinthians 5:10]

Jesus - "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them [Matthew 5:17]

Paul - Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law… [Romans 3:28]

Jesus - "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone [Mark 10:18]

Paul - Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God [Philippians 2:6]

Jesus - For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many [Matthew 24.5]

Paul - Jesus sent me [1 Corinthians 1:17], For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:[Romans 11:13]

Jesus - By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? [Matthew 7:16]

Paul - For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? [Romans 3:7]
