Nobunaga was killed by one of his generals named Akechi Mitsuhide. No one knows for sure why Mitsuhide turned on Nobunaga but there are a few theories.
He was sent to work under Toyotomi (then Hashiba) Hideyoshi, another of Nobunaga's generals.
