No,she was the third daughter ! Her brother,Charles (after the death of his father he became Earl Spencer) was the youngest !

Diana was expected to be a boy,it was a shut for them when they found out that she's going to be a girl,her name -Diana- was chosen only with a week before she was born,so it didn't mean any symbol to them.
