Yes, unfortunately he was. If you look at his video entitled, "My TRUE LOVE" on his 2nd channel, ShaneDawsonTV2, he'll say near the end from answering questions this:
"In a nutshell. . .I was abused."
The video overall is very funny, but the tears may come after he says that he was abused by his father.
I believe he feels that he's comfortable with telling us things like this, about his childhood, so in that video, he did reveal that he was abused as a child. I, personally, want to hear what happened, because he's shared so many things with us, his fans, even the bad things.
