I believe that it is an argument that appears to be about what super hero can beat Superman, but in reality it is used as device to debate political issues. Issues such as Superman (USA) can be beat by...say...Aquaman(could be Iran, could be anybody). That is my understanding of it in a nut shell. I dont really get it.
