T-Rex did both.
T-Rex did both.
Tyrannosaurus Rex was to slow and heavy to run and its arms were tiny to grab things. It also had bad eyesight and a good sense of smell. All of this suggests that Tyrannosaurus Rex was a scavenger.
No, the T-Rex was not a scavenger. the T-Rex killed its prey to get food.
Tyrannosaurus rex has always been portrayed as a large, mean, hunter. But new science and newly put forth theories by Jack Horner have concluded that Tyrannosaurus rex may not have been "king" after all. It may have even been a scavenger. But, in mine and others like Dougal Dixon's opinion, T.rex probably was a bit of both.
It was a predator i checked it actually was a predator
Tyrannosaurus Rex in Latin means tyrant lizard
It is difficult to know the temperament of a tyrannosaurus rex. However, it is likely that the dinosaur was a predator that was viscous and beastly.
The jaws and teeth of tyrannosaurus would be poorly suited for anything other than a diet consisting of meat. Evidence of Tyrannosaurus being a predator are its relatively large, forward-facing eye sockets. This suggests that T. rex had relatively good binocular vision, something a scavenger would have little use for.
The only thing that could hunt and kill a mature Tyrannosaurus was another Tyrannosaurus.
depends on what era and period it lives in for example: tyrannosaurus rex is top predator in the late cretaous
Given it´s size it´s probable that T-rex was not a great runner, therefore it´s likely that it could have been an ambush predator. There is also a suggestion that it could have been a huge scavanger. Although is likely that T-rex wouldn´t pass the opportunity to steal a meal from a smaller predator, it is hard to imagine that such a big creature would only rely on what it could find laying dead and half eaten.
The tyrannosaurus rex is a predator feeding on anything it could fit in its mouth
