No.
Buddha is not a god or for that matter even considered a god by Buddhists. The Buddha simply means "enlightened one" - or one that has achieved perfect wisdom. The teachings of the Buddha - historical Buddha that is - Siddharta Guatama - have been transmitted all over over the world. The words used are meant to be a guide for life not taken as gospel like in Christianity. The Buddha actively encouraged his people to debate and challenge his ideas. Therefore, even to this day in many schools of Buddhist thought have temple debates or discussions that are used to bring out educated understanding of very complicated ideas in Buddhism.
Buddhism in general does not take to the idea of god. It does not reject the idea of god, it simply does use it. Buddhism as a faith - really- is more focused on living and the here and now. The idea of heaven and hell is manifestations of ones life condition in this lifetime. Nothing is fixed in stone and life can be changed. No one is too far gone to be helped.
