When there is a war, justice is delivered in an individual basis like a rape victim that survives and could point the culprit. The atomic bombing was accepted by the majority of the people so there is no case bringing the justice topic in this case.
Japan made a serious mistake in its handling of the compensation issue after the war but there was a compensation bill, which came 38 years after A-bomb victims mounted efforts for its passage, and less than one month before 1995's fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War Two. Acknowledgment of A-bomb damage which produced a combination of intense heat, powerful winds and radiation. As a result the natural and social environment of the area was totally destroyed. Through all these years, no adequate Hibakusha Aid Law has been enacted and the latest bill hasn't gone in effect.

Takenishi's The Rite is about the bombing of Hiroshima. "The Rite" is specifically about the rites of death, whether it be for Tomiko's miscarried babies, or the victims of the bomb who have no bodies left to honor.
That did occur to victims of the nuclear bombing. The important symptoms reported by the Japanese and observed by American authorities were lose of hair, bleeding into the skin, and other hemorrhagic manifestations, inflammation of the mouth and throat, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever.
