No. Pilot Mountain is a monadnock-- a mountain made of erosion resistant rock, so that the lands erodes around it, leaving a striking mountain behind.
This is a hard one! VOLCANO!
The Semeru volcano is located in East Java, Indonesia. Also known as the Great Mountain, the Semeru volcano is Java's highest mountain/volcano also one of Java's most active volcano.
it is true that a active volcano is one that has probably not erupted in a long time but could still erupt again, and a volcano that has not erupted since the last eruption on its due date to erupt it is classed as an extinct volcano or more commonly known as a mountain.
A mountain could be a volcano and a volcano can be a mountain. A volcanic mountain is only one type of mountain. Mt. St. Helens in the United States is a volcanic mountain. The Hawaiian Islands are a string of volcanic mountains. And the world's largest mountain range is the mid-ocean ridge, created by diverging tectonic plates and volcanism.
Pilot Knob is a volcanic neck, which is the solidified central vent of an ancient volcano. It formed when magma hardened within the volcano's vent and the surrounding rock eroded away over time, leaving behind a prominent, steep-sided landform.

I would assume a shield volcano which is also a mountain in a sense. So maybe the big island of Hawaii. That or one of the Himilayas.
Volcano
No. For one thing, the Yellowstone volcano is not a mountain, it is a caldera. It is usually referred to as the Yellowstone caldera or the Yellowstone supervolcano.
