∙ 13y agoNo it was not. The first meeting of the two was pre-arranged but not the marriage. When Elizabeth was 13 and Phillip was 18 they met for the first time. Elizabeth's father was friends with Phillips uncle (the two were cousins) and during a navel showing Phillip was introduced to the royal family. Elizabeth fell in love with Phillip and the two kept in touch. They wanted to get married, but her father was worried that she was setting her sights on the first person that she had feelings for. Eventually she won her father over and the two married in November of 1947.

∙ 12y agoThe royal "Windsor" family is not British- it is German. The name "Windsor" was adopted after Windsor Castle in order to remove the German connotation of "Hanover". The present "Windsor" family is, in reality, the German royal heritage of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha-Hanover. Diana was needed for her true royal British bloodlines- Stewart descended from Robert the Bruce. This is a Merovingian lineage. Prince William Arthur is the result of careful planning. Once the heir and spare was produced, Diana was of no value. She became dangerous, threatening to expose the Royal Family. Dating the Muslim son of the most despised man by the Royal Family was the icing on the fatal royal cake. Was Charles and Diana's marrige arranged- absolutely. Was Diana's death an accident- absolutely NOT.

∙ 7y agoNot 'arranged' as in some cultures - where they didn't have any say in whether they were attracted to each other (like in sum cultures). However - The Queen and Prince Phillip certainly had some input as to whether Diana was a suitable partner for him.
