I would imagine so because very little was known about the last few hundred feet of the mountain. He was climbing into the unknown and didnt know what to expect.

My hamster keeps climbing and falling. I am scared he is hurt but he doesnt seem to want to stop doing it . it is bad for him isn't it and if so how can I prevent him from doing it to hurt himself?
Hamsters like to climb. I don't know what he's climbing... (side of the cage?) but from what I know hamsters actually love to climb and often fall. If your hamster seems to be hurt from doing this than you could get a different cage (if that's what he's climbing on...) with a tank like I have.... its a fish tank, but its really big and they seem to like it. If that isn't what your hamster is climbing on, then I don't know what to tell you, sorry.
